We are interested in the way a building meets its first morning. The light through the kitchen window before anyone has spoken. The way a hallway exhales when a door is left ajar.
Søl works in three materials — concrete, timber, glass — chosen for what they do over decades, not what they look like in a photograph. We design slowly. Most of our houses take three years from the first sketch to the last delivery of furniture.
This is the work we are willing to be remembered by.
A building should not announce itself. It should be there, like a familiar room you walked into without realising you had ever left.
